Are you a one of those people who love motorcycle racing and do not know how to race or do not have enough money to enroll yourself in a motorcycle racing school? Well, not all hope is lost. There are a few basic that you can teach yourself and get onto the track within some time. There are things that you will have to take into account in order for you to take it to the track.

To begin with, you will need to familiarize yourself with the braking systems. You will need to learn more on emergency brakings since they are a common thing in motorcycle racing. It is a difficult lesson to learn and you should be aware that you would fall off the bike a number of times before you learn how to undertake the task. The success behind this form of braking is to be conscious of the things you are doing. You will need full concentration. You could utilize the front brakes for any emergency. The reason behind this is that when you opt to use both brakes, you will need more coordination skills and much more concentration. Using both braking systems would also put your safety at a compromise.

The other thing is counter-steering. In order to achieve this in motorcycle racing, there is one cardinal rule that you will need to remember and that is “like follows like”. This means that if you are going left, then you should let the left hand do the job. Practice this move more often and within no time, you will find it becoming easier for you to successfully counter-steer. You will also need to work on cornering. It is an important lesson in motorcycle racing. You will need to think quickly, you will be forced to make accurate calculations of how to take your corners and this is mostly within seconds. You could look at your surroundings to do this.
